Beşiktaş Emlakjet-Bursaspor Info Yatırım Maçı Hakkında Basın Açıklaması

Saygıdeğer Basketbol Camiası ve Kamuoyu,
27 Ocak 2024 tarihinde İstanbul’da oynanan Beşiktaş Emlakjet-Bursaspor Info Yatırım basketbol maçı sırasındaki davranışlar, Türkiye Basketbol Antrenörleri Derneği olarak bizleri derinden üzmüş ve endişelendirmiştir. Sporun ve özellikle basketbolun ruhu, fair play prensipleri ve etik kurallar üzerine kuruludur. Bu değerlere uygun olmayan her türlü davranış, hem sporun, hem de antrenörlük mesleğinin saygınlığına zarar vermektedir.
Beşiktaş Emlakjet Basketbol takımının başantrenörü Sayın Dusan Alimpijevic’in, Bursaspor Info Yatırım’ın yedek sıralarına yönelik hareketi, spor etiğiyle bağdaşmayan, saygısız ve seviyeyi düşüren bir davranış biçimidir. Basketbol sahası, sadece müsabakaların oynandığı bir alan değil, aynı zamanda spor insanlarına örnek olunması gereken bir platformdur.
Antrenörler, sadece teknik bilgi ve beceriye sahip olmakla kalmamalı, aynı zamanda etik değerlere uygun davranışlar sergileyerek bütün spor insanlarına örnek olmalıdırlar. Sn. Alimpijevic’in gösterdiği davranış, genç antrenörlere olumsuz bir örnek teşkil etmekte ve spor etiğine aykırı bir tutum sergilemektedir.
Unutulmamalıdır ki, antrenörlerin davranışları sadece teknik başarılarıyla değil, aynı zamanda sahada ve dışında sergiledikleri olumlu tutum ve davranışlarla da ölçülmektedir. Basketbol camiası, bu tür olumsuz örneklerle değil, örnek liderlik ve profesyonellikle anılmalıdır.
Bu olayda, yalnızca Sn. Alimpijevic’in bir spor kulübünü temsil ettiği göz önünde bulundurulmamalıdır. Türk Basketbolu, geniş bir topluluğun bir araya geldiği bir platformdur ve bu platformda herkes, kurallara ve etik değerlere saygı göstermekle yükümlüdür. Herhangi bir konuda ayrım yapılmaksızın, basketbol kimliğine yakışmayan her türlü davranış kınanacaktır.
Türkiye Basketbol Antrenörleri Derneği olarak, bu tür davranışların tekrarlanmaması ve spor etiğine uygun hareket edilmesi için Sn. Alimpijevic’in sorumlu olduğu kurumlar tarafından gerekli önlemlerin alınacağı kanaatindeyiz. Ayrıca, Avrupa basketbolunda saygı değer bir yere sahip olan Türk basketbolunun marka değeri, bu tür davranışlara karşı net bir duruş sergileyerek, korunmalıdır.
Sonuçta, Türkiye Basketbol Antrenörleri Derneği olarak, basketbol camiasına ve genç spor insanlarına örnek olması beklenen bir ismin bu tür davranışlar sergilemesini kınıyor ve sporun temel değerlerine uygun davranışlar sergileme çağrısında bulunuyoruz.

Dear Basketball Community,
The behaviors displayed during the Beşiktaş Emlakjet-Bursaspor Info Yatırım basketball match in Istanbul on January 27, 2024, have deeply saddened and concerned us at the Turkish Basketball Coaches Association(TÜBAD). The spirit of sports, especially basketball, is built upon principles of fair play and ethical standards. Any behavior inconsistent with these values damages the integrity of both the sport and the coaching profession.
The actions of Mr. Dusan Alimpijevic, the head coach of Beşiktaş Emlakjet Basketball team, towards the Bursaspor Info Yatırım’s bench, constitute a behavior that is incompatible with sports ethics, disrespectful, and diminishes the level of sportsmanship. The basketball court is not only a place for competitions but also a platform where sports individuals should set an example.
Coaches should not only possess technical knowledge and skills but also exhibit behavior in line with ethical values, serving as examples for all sports individuals. The conduct demonstrated by Mr. Alimpijevic sets a negative example for young coaches and showcases an attitude contrary to sports ethics.
It should be remembered that coaches’ behavior is measured not only by their technical achievements but also by the positive attitude and behavior they display on and off the court. The basketball community should be associated with exemplary leadership and professionalism, not with negative examples.
In this incident, it should be noted that Mr. Alimpijevic does not only represent a sports club. Turkish Basketball is a platform where a diverse community comes together, and everyone in this platform is obligated to show respect for rules and ethical values. Any behavior inconsistent with the identity of basketball, without discrimination, will be condemned.
As the Turkish Basketball Coaches Association, we believe that the necessary measures will be taken to prevent the recurrence of such behavior and to ensure adherence to sports ethics by the institutions that Mr. Alimpijevic is responsible to. Additionally, the brand value of Turkish basketball, which holds a respectable position in European basketball, should be preserved by taking a clear stance against such behaviors.
In conclusion, as the Turkish Basketball Coaches Association, we condemn the display of such behavior by a figure expected to be an example to the basketball community and young sports individuals. We call for actions in line with the fundamental values of sports.
